Daila Ojeda discovers “Menhir” 8b, a gem in the heart of the Dolomites

Attracted by the beauty and aesthetics of the route, the Canarian climbs “Menhir”, a line surrounded by a great alpine atmosphere.

Daila Ojeda says that ‘in the past, I may have climbed some routes as aesthetic as this one and with similar rock quality, but I’m not used to trying lines in mountain environments like this. There, you’re just with your partner, sharing methods, motivation… and enjoying the scenery.’

The Canarian climber is referring to Menhir 8b, a route located in Passo Gardena, in the heart of the Dolomites (Italy). The route is in a secluded and isolated spot and runs along a slightly overhanging slab with a great atmosphere.

Daila also recently climbed Tierra Piatta 8b+ in Arco (Italy). ‘I didn’t think it would be so difficult to get back into shape after this injury… Feeling confident climbing right now is proving to be uncomfortably entertaining… and very educational,’ she commented during the process on this route.
