Professional climber and climbing coach
Climbing offers countless life lessons. Sharing everything this sport and lifestyle have taught me is what inspires me to organize and collaborate on climbing workshops and trips in some of the world’s most iconic destinations.
Who I am
BIO
I was born in the Canary Islands, specifically on the island of Gran Canaria, and from a very young age I always loved sports, especially outdoor sports.
I started climbing at the age of 18, inspired by a competition in my hometown, Agüimes. Before climbing, I practised other sports, especially surfing and bodyboarding, which are very popular in the Canary Islands, but I always say that climbing was love at first sight for me, especially the lifestyle and the people who practised it.
My early years...
As a climber, I spent my time climbing on the islands, between Gran Canaria and Tenerife. The rock in the Canary Islands is volcanic (basalt) and climbing there tends to be technical and intuitive, which is very interesting.
After a few years of climbing, I decided to leave the island and move to Catalonia, one of the world’s epicentres for sport climbing. It was here that I had the opportunity to climb and learn from some of the most talented climbers of the time. I have always been very active in the climbing community, linking and making female first ascents of sport routes up to 8c such as ‘Mind Control’ and ‘Fish Eyes’ in Oliana (Catalonia) and other internationally renowned routes such as the aesthetic ‘Tom et Je Ris’ in Verdon, ‘Menhir’ in the Dolomites, and the iconic ‘Digital Crack’ on the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix.
Currently
After more than 20 years of climbing, I am still in love with this sport and its lifestyle. I love travelling the world and sharing my passion for climbing as a professional climber and climbing guide. I see it as a natural process of growing as a climber.
